Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
At Quick Tools, we believe that your data is yours. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to your privacy and explains how our application works to ensure your information remains secure and private.
1. The Structural Privacy Guarantee
Unlike most web applications, Quick Tools is designed with privacy built into its fundamental architecture. Our application is completely client-side. This means that all processing happens directly within your web browser. There is no backend server receiving, processing, or storing your files or the text you input. Because we do not have a server handling your data, it is structurally impossible for us to collect, store, or share the information you process using our tools.
2. What Data We Do Not Collect
Because of our client-side architecture, we do not collect any of the following:
- Personal Information: We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, IP address, or any other personally identifiable information.
- Usage Data or Analytics: We do not track how you use the application, which tools you click, or how long you stay on the site. There are no tracking scripts or analytics services (like Google Analytics) installed.
- User Content: Any text, images, or files you process with our tools never leave your device.
3. Local Storage Usage
While we do not send data to a server, your browser may save small amounts of non-personal data locally on your device to improve your experience. We do not use traditional cookies. Instead, we use your browser's localStorage API for the following purposes:
- Theme Preferences: Remembering whether you prefer light or dark mode.
- Tool-Specific Settings: Saving your preferences for specific tools so they are ready for you the next time you use them.
This data remains exclusively on your device. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or cache.
4. Network Requests
For the vast majority of our tools, zero network requests are made after the initial page load. The only exception is the YouTube Thumbnail Downloadertool, which fetches thumbnail images from YouTube's image CDN (i.ytimg.com) and the video title from YouTube's oEmbed endpoint (www.youtube.com/oembed) to function. When you use this specific tool, your browser will make requests directly to YouTube's servers, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. No other tool on Quick Tools makes any external network requests.
5. Third-Party Services
We do not integrate with third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics services. Furthermore, all assets required to run the site, including Google Fonts, are self-hosted. This ensures that your browser does not inadvertently leak your IP address to third-party font providers or content delivery networks while simply browsing the site.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal data whatsoever, we inherently comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your GDPR Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users in the European Economic Area have specific rights regarding their personal data (e.g., the right to access, rectify, or erase data). Because Quick Tools does not collect or store any personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied. We have no data to provide, correct, or delete upon request.
8. Your CCPA Rights
Similarly, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have rights regarding the collection and sale of their personal information. We do not collect, sell, or share any personal information of any user, including California residents. Therefore, these rights are already fulfilled by design.
9. Data Security
The most secure data is data that is never collected. Since your data never leaves your browser, its security is determined by the security of your own device and web browser. We recommend keeping your browser and operating system updated to ensure your data remains protected locally.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our tools or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
